Royal Museums Greenwich – home to the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, the Queen’s House and Cutty Sark – has relaunched its image library.

Royal Museums Greenwich Images contains stunning images from their exceptional collections of over 4 million objects. Clients can search, license and instantly download film footage and high-quality images of paintings, prints and drawings, maps and charts, scientific instruments, ship plans, historic photographs, manuscripts, ship models, antiquities and uniforms.

A new section of the website is dedicated to film licensing, including rare maritime footage, contemporary drone clips of Greenwich, and films from the Alan Villiers collection, which document voyages in sailing ships from the 1930s to the 1960s.

Images and footage can be licensed directly from the newly upgraded Images website, for various media, ranging from film production and publishing through to digital use in online content, apps and eBooks.

The image library is powered by Capture Ltd, who have worked with Royal Museums Greenwich for over a decade.
